- Design, development and full responsibility of the product portfolio strategy and roadmap with turnover worth hundreds of Millions of €
- Team leadership in dedicated new portfolio filling and extension projects which has enabled corporate and BU performance to outgrow industry performance over the last 5 years and that included coordinating cross-divisional and cross-border activities with other Group Companies
- Responsibility on a Global basis of Industry specific roadmaps (representing the largest corporate markets) involving high integration with Global Key Account and Industry Management.
- Design & Implementation of cross-divisional Mid‐spec product guideline, adopted on a corporate level. Resulting operative measures adopted at BU level have enabled, through selective pruning strategies, healthy transition of turnover towards cash-cow product lines thus enabling savings of hundreds of thousands of €, greatly increasing corporate efficiency.
- Strategic responsibility of Lifecycle Management of mature product lines (hundreds of Millions of € turnover). Operational tasks include:
- Responsibility for price positioning of the product families under own domain and framing the global pricing structure.
- Definition of bespoke product packages for the distribution channel and direct customers
- Responsibility for process‐related data maintenance in the product management
- Responsibility for product discontinuation announcement within the product group
- Implementation of turnover and product results analysis and action planning with distribution department / global application management focused towards contribution margin maximization
- Expansion of the innovation turnover with an active integration of the distribution departments, structured introduction of product ideas into the product development process, preparation of the medium to long term planning horizon for product development projects. This includes the design of Business Cases, later to translate into the lead and roll-out of flagship new product development projects worth multi-Million € turnover, with high profitability and leading industry -specific innovation content. Operational tasks include:
- Initiation & approval of functional specification requirements and implementation of project review of the product families
- Implementation of project control of micro‐projects
- Responsibility of defined objectives for the relevant product family and the product launch
- Implementation of marketing campaigns for product families in coordination with the global Industry management and aligned with set portfolio strategy
- Design and Implementation of product‐specific market analysis
- Commissioning of product specific marketing activities in coordination with the global market communication and Industry management
- Definition of target costing for the product family and/or supply chain controlling
- Release of forecasting data for supply chain controlling (mature and innovation roadmap products)
- Driving optimization of the time to market for new products

- Cash-cow and core product line management. Direct responsibility of a tens of M€ yearly turnover, including 3 sub‐lines and 3 digit different part numbers.
- Pivoting role between engineering, commercial department and advisor to ownership to optimize capital expenditure.
- Entire product life‐cycle management. Initiator of the project team responsible for development of new and optimizing existing products, based on market requests and requirements given by the applicable standards. Analysis and expertise in the choice of raw materials to be employed in the product manufacturing cycle.
- Introduction of the product through the appropriate sales channels, including pricing and merchandising through distributors and wholesalers; portfolio implementation involving strategic make or buy decisions.
- For mature products managed profitability means including divesting strategies and prolonging lifecycle by implementing effective product‐service bundling (including Rail assembly and marking SW packages)
- Constant benchmark analysis of products and strategies implemented by competitors.
- Analysis and preparation of technical and commercial literature with integral translation in English and other product‐related documentation including technical Standards.
- Organisation & participation to national sales conventions and international trade fairs and Corporate Logo ideation.
- Pre- and post‐sales customer servicing and consulting, presentation and promotion of the Company and its products to sales force and to customers worldwide.
- Formation and training courses (average 20 per year) held in Italian, English, French and Spanish, within the company premises or on site (including abroad).

- 20 years of experience in product certification according to the applicable standards (IEC, UL, CSA, LR, R.I.NA, in addition to specific sectors such as geothermal and nuclear power plants).
- Full management of all economic aspects related to the achievement and maintenance of the approval marks and equivalent to a yearly investment of six digit € contracts
- Implemented and managed all activities referred to ATEX EU Directive 94/9/EC and IEC Ex (recognised worldwide) certification schemes, related to products and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Designed and implemented annual Quality Plan in conjunction with all department heads, from engineering to sales.
- Sole Italian delegate of IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) SC 17B MT14, and member of TC31 (Equipment for explosive atmospheres), 17B (Low‐voltage switchgear and controlgear) and 23F (Connecting devices) standardisation committees within CEI (Italian Electrotechnical Committee). Membership of UNICEN GdL 9 - Sottogruppo 4, defining characteristics of cables and connection products to be used in nuclear power plants.
